07/07/2019 - East Sussex Parking Charges


On Monday 1 July East Sussex will be consulting residents, businesses and stakeholders on proposed changes to parking charges across East Sussex, the consultation will end on 11 August.


The consultation will be seeking views on the proposed permit charges for Eastbourne and Hastings permit holders to bring them in line with the current Lewes permit charges. We are also proposing to increase the on street parking charges.


RingGO will be sending text messages to all users that have parked in an on street parking space in the county between December 2018 and May 2019. The text message will consist of a short message and contain a link to the consultation hub.

07/07/2019 - Electric Blanket Testing


East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service have arranged Electric Blanket Testing sessions across East Sussex and Brighton & Hove for this Autumn.


The details for these events can be found on our website: .


We are not able to collect electric blankets this year, however if people are unable to attend an event, perhaps they could ask a family member, friend, carer or neighbour if they are able to bring their electric blanket along to the event on their behalf.

Just over a mile away from the town of Lewes and nestling at the foot of the Sussex Downs, Kingston is protected on its northern and western sides by high ranges of hills.


Many of the older houses are in the original village centre "The Street", with an interesting and picturesque mix of cottages and larger farmhouses as well as the local 14th Century pub The Juggs and St Pancras Church.


The village offers a number of recreational facilities through its two greens, parish hall and community pavilion as well as being an ideal base for walkers and cyclists to explore the beautiful South Downs and surrounding areas.
